Xbox Scorpio NEWS: Hardware REVEALED ahead of holiday 2017 release date
Xbox One fans have been given a look at a useful new piece of hardware for Project Scorpio.
LucidSound has unveiled the LS35X gaming headset, which connects wirelessly to Xbox One and Xbox Scorpio and has a holiday 2017 release date.Unlike previous Xbox One headsets, the officially licensed LS35X doesn’t need cables or a base station to connect. It uses the same technology as the official Xbox One controller, which makes it compatible with past and future Microsoft consoles.
If you own an Xbox Wireless Adapter, you can even use the headset with Windows 10 PCs.
“The LucidSound team has designed the LS35X as a headset for this generation of Xbox players with the most simplistic wireless capability to date,” explains LucidSound CEO Chris Von Huben.
“We believe the Xbox gamer will be blown away by the feature set and quality. This is just the beginning of our announcements for E3 in June and it only gets better.”
XBOX Scorpio will need to have an affordable price tag, more exclusive games and a sleek design if it’s going to be a success.
In terms of specs, the LS35X uses precision 50mm neodymium drivers, surround sound and head tracking technology. It features an ear-cup control system and an ear-cup design that provides expanded space.
This supposedly results in increased comfort and enhanced audio accuracy.
Fans should find out more about Project Scorpio, including the price and release date, at this year’s E3 gaming expo.
First look at the brand new Xbox: Project Scorpio
Xbox Scorpio has a CPU that is 30% faster than that of the original Xbox One, while the GPU is 4.6 times more powerful than its predecessor. Interestingly, the 8GB of memory – which is up from the 5GB found in the original Xbox One – allows the console to process art assets, making it easier to run 4K resolution visuals at higher speeds.
And despite such an impressive range of specs, Xbox Scorpio production is said to be right on schedule. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has assured fans that the high-spec console is still on for a holiday 2017 release date. Spencer was asked if there was a change to the Scorpio release date on Twitter. He replied: “Schedule looks very good right now, no issues.”
